We have had such a busy couple of weeks! Of course, the most important day was March 16, when Alana turned 1 year. She has come a long way since a year ago! She is now walking all over the place and actually prefers walking. We had her birthday party at Almaden Lake Park. After many days of watching the weather and contemplating on if we should cancel, it finally seemed safe enough to continue with the party. Unfortunately, the weather turned out to be a lot worse than expected! The wind picked up during the day, and it rained too! Luckily, our picnic area was covered. However, it was still windy and cold. We are so lucky to have great family and friends to join us celebrate Alana’s special day! Alana had a great day, and we are happy everyone made it.
This past weekend, we also took a trip to Las Vegas. It is Alana’s 3rd trip to Vegas! The car ride there was not so bad. She ended up sleeping a lot of the way. It also helped that we stopped by LA for 1 night. Alana had a lot of fun in Vegas. The first night there, we went to the Lion King show at Mandalay Bay. Alana was running around until the start of the show. Then she was captivated and almost sat through the whole show! The show was amazing and we had really good seats. We also took Alana to the Aquarium at Mandalay Bay. She was semi-interested in the sharks, but really liked jellyfish. And she got close to an alligator.
I played in a pool tournament over the weekend with Carla & Monica and we placed 17th place out of 196 teams! We played awesome =)
