Alana is now one month old. She is now 21 inches tall and weighs 9lbs 9oz. When you pick her up, she feels heavy now. My arms are definitely getting a work out. It's been a lot of fun having friends visit and play with her.
I can't believe how different she looks and acts. She's got a lot more fat on her body and face. She is staying awake for longer periods of time and she is settling down into a set schedule. She likes to be entertained and she doesn't like to feel alone. She continues to eat every 2-3 hours. We are waiting for the day that she sleeps through the night.
I've been getting more and more confident about bringing her out with me. I still find it hard to feeding and changing her in public. I now realize that if I want to stay out for more than 1-2 hours at a time, I do need to get used to that. It's so nice that the weather has been warm.
Here are a couple of pictures to brighten up your day :).

Weeks 2-3
Today, Alana is officially 3 weeks old. Everything still feels very new, and I am still getting used to being a mom.
Alana had her check up last week. She has already grown 1/2 an inch and she has gained a whole pound! So she is now about 7 pounds, and she is 19 3/4 inches tall. She is getting a little chubby and you can definitely see the changes in her face and her body is now fat. She continues to spend most of the day sleeping, but she is starting to stay awake longer now. She still feeds every 3 hours, and I am still getting used to that schedule. There has definitely been some nights that I could barely keep my eyes open. Thank goodness for Jeff. Don't know what I'd do without him.
Of course, here's some pictures.
